I am honored to be named Magician of the Year

I’m sorry that I missed the Academy of Magical Arts awards ceremony last night. I am currently in Singapore with Circus 1903. 

I hope I can convey what being named Magician of the Year means to me. For most of us in this field, from dabblers to working pros, the Magic Castle has been a beacon of magical inspiration and aspiration since it’s doors opened over 50 years ago. 

I fell in love with the place the first time I walked in the front doors. (Actually Michael Ammar and Daryl snuck me in the back door because I was under age!)

Many wonderful hours spent there with friends over the years. A very special place. 

So a sincere thank you to those who chose me for this honor this year. And a big congratulations to all the others who were recognized as well.
